The Jus de Fruits de Moorea factory was established in 1981 in partnership with the island’s pineapple growers, as at that time, the fresh-fruit market was not able to absorb the total production of pineapple.

In November 1981, under the Rotui brand, the factory produces its first pineapple pure juice, which encounters great success. Thus, the brand Rotui was established as a quality brand.

In 1984, the factory diversified with the creation of Manutea Tahiti SA, a society dealing with tropical alcohols, liquors and eaux-de-vie. It manufactures also jams, aromatised teas, fruits vinegars, candy fruits and dry fruits.

Located between the Cook’s bay and the Opunohu bay, next to its sister company Jus de Fruits de Moorea, Manutea Tahiti has now a professional credibility in the processing of local products that tempt daily, thousands of tourists and residents.

With all their partners, Manutea Tahiti & Jus de Fruits de Moorea, work toward the development of the fruits from our Polynesian islands.

The two companies share a high-standard distillery, a confectionary and many others infrastructures devoted to the production of their original recipes.

Our agricultural engineer and the entire R&D department concentrate their work on safeguarding the savour and unique quality present in each fruit.

In 2002, Manutea Tahiti & Jus de Fruits de Moorea, embark on the improvement of the quality of their products and services. This engagement took shape in 2004 with the support of all employees which allowed the achievement of the standard ISO 9001. This step was essential to show the will of the company to take the satisfaction of its customers as a priority.

From the conception of a new product to its delivery in stores, as well as the orders, the storage of raw materials, the laboratory controls and manufacturing methods, quality matters to everyone on the site..

Our objective to improve our system will not stop here. Indeed, we have launched a new study to achieve the standard ISO 22000, which sets the standards for the food industry internationally, and we got our certification in May 2009.

HISTOIRE

Located at the base of the Rotui mountain in a well-preserved environment far from human pollution, Manutea Tahiti takes into account the respect for nature and the preservation of resources in every project it works on.

The factory counts within its walls a low-polluting gas boiler, a network for collecting waste water and a storage warehouse encouraging energy savings, which are the first elements of a company concerned by sustainable development.

The low carbon footprint of the factory, the creation of a solar energy station and the implementation of waste management are examples which will allow our company to achieve the standard ISO 14001.
